The Barton Creek Greenbelt, comprised of 7.9 miles of hike and bike trails runs through the Barton Creek area with the creek itself being fed from the watershed among other water sources. Many outdoor activities can be done in this prestigious area including hiking, biking, swimming and rock climbing.

Lake Travis - The Lake Travis area is comprised of four communities: Lakeway, Lago Vista, Jonestown and Briarcliff. Lakeway, a golfing community, is located closest to the Austin Metropolitan area. Lago Vista, another golfing community, can be reached by driving along 2322 E. from Hwy 71. Located across the lake from Lago Vistas sits the community of Briarcliff. The community of Jonestown is located north of austin and is off of Hwy 1431.
Fast facts: Lake Travis is the fifth lake down in the chain of Highland Lakes on the Colorado River in Central Texas. It winds through the Texas Hill Country for 60 miles. It is the longest of the seven Highland Lakes. At its widest point, Lake Travis is 4.5 miles wide.
Lakeway - Known as one of Austin's most popular resort areas, Lakeway has a number of things to offer, affordability, a state recognized school district and plenty of water and land activities. Situated just 20 minutes from Austin, Lakeway is the closest community to downtown.

You may be able to assume the seller's mortgage liability when buying a house instead of having to apply for a new loan.
Assuming a loan could minimize your down payment or closing costs and get you a more advantageous interest rate. To know whether an assumption will work, find out the loan balance. If the balance is a small fraction of the purchase price, you will have to come up with a large down payment or get a second loan for the difference, unless the seller is willing to provide some of the financing. If the loan balance is high, the loan may have been made when interest rates were higher than they are today.
